Contact Tracing is the process used to identify those who come in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or other contagious diseases. Brick and mortar businesses are contact tracing by having their guests fill out a form with a pen and paper. Some business are taking temperatures and asking for your name and email.

Key Insights

Contact Tracing begins if someone tests positive for COVID-19. Health care officials would then start contacting everyone that had been in contact with that person. A NPR survey on 41 states’ contact tracing efforts found that, on average, a state has 7,324 workers on staff. Health experts say the number of dedicated contact tracing workers should be between 100,000 and 300,000, nationally, meaning that the current workforce is far short. These procedures are very important to help break the chain of transmission and slow the spread of COVID-19.

Once your guests first arrive, have them log onto your free Guest WiFi with their email information or social media account. Guests are redirected to a short COVID-19 questionnaire. Your guests can easily answer the questionnaire while providing their contact information straight from their own phone. With the Guest WiFi platform, you can get rid of that pen and paper and keep everything digital.

WiFi analytics can help determine exactly who you need to contact based on time of visit at your business. All guest potentially exposed will receive an automated email. WiFi marketing can be beneficial to any brick and mortar business; hotels, restaurants, retail, salons and any other physical space.

By using the Guest WiFi marketing platform for contact tracing, it shows your guests and your employees that your business is taking all of the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
